Learn About Hybrid Meetings

Many of us may be wondering and have asked for communication from Toastmasters International concerning holding in-person club meetings, conducting online meetings, or having hybrid meetings.

Toastmasters International and District 52 have and will continue to put the safety and the well-being of our members first.
We understand that some clubs have begun to meet in person indoors or at outdoor locations.
At this time, Toastmasters International and Toastmasters District 52 recommend that clubs follow the protocol guidelines given by city, county, and state officials

As guidelines continue to evolve, clubs may make their own decisions on the type of club meetings to hold in a manner that best suits the needs of club members.

Please visit Toastmasters International announcement page regularly for current and future updates:

Additionally, if a club is in the process of conducting a hybrid, please refer to this document as provided by Toastmasters International.

Please feel to reach out to your district leaders for more questions.

Continue to be well and stay safe.

  1. As Club Growth Director, I (William Guthrie, have been working with and attending meetings at the State, County, City, and even at our local School Board meetings to gather relevant safety protocols.

I highly recommend that leaders of the local clubs engage a similar approach, as these people are on the leading edge of keeping our children and the people who love them safe.

While you are there (digitally or otherwise), gather their documentation and learn the vocabulary. This will be important when you are speaking with the facilities that you are (or want to) having your Toastmasters meetings. Learn about the safe and proper use of disinfectants that are recommended for the relevant diseases/concerns.

Safety rises to a very high standard when you attend just a few of these meetings, or at the very least the website with current and published protocols. Download the most recent documents and make them a part of your safety team’s readiness.

Stay Safe – and Keep on Toastmastering!
