Finishing Strong, District 52 Director Blog Post

Greetings Fellow Toastmasters. Reflecting back on the first half of our Toastmasters year I see that we have a lot of opportunities ahead of us for the remainder of the 2022-2023 term. It’s important that as members and leaders we stay focused to finish the year strong.

Why Toastmasters? Since 1924 Toastmasters has help people like you open up a world of possibilities by improving interpersonal communication and becoming a more persuasive and confident speaker and leader. This in turn helps you meet your personal and professional goals and build strong social
connections. It’s a transformational learning experience like none other!

Act now! Ten steps to finishing strong

  1. Members – Enjoy the full benefits of your club membership. Set a goal to complete an education level in Pathways. This will help you to earn DTM status and helps your club earn distinguished status.
  2. Clubs – Get track your Distinguished Club Plan (DCP) point status.
  3. Officers – Sign-up for D52 Club Officer Training and TLI in January.  https://www.district52.org/calendar/list/
  4. Clubs and members – Visit D52 Pathways Corner set a goal of 100% enrollment, participation
  5. Clubs and members – Renew membership dues early! The next round of renewals is due by April 1.
  6. Area Directors – Rebuild clubs with 10 or less members. Take advantage of the club coach program.
  7. Area & Division Directors – Reinstate clubs that are not meeting at this time.
  8. Everyone – Bring in a new club lead. Look to your workplace or community organizations, send the name and contact information of one lead to our CGD@district52.org
  9. District Leaders – Remember it’s all about serving our members.
  10. Everyone: Have fun while learning! Members return for social connections.

As your district director, I’m incredibly proud of each one of you. My primary goal is to serve you and to help you achieve success.

TOGETHER WE WILL FINISH THE YEAR STRONG!

Wishing you all a healthy and happy holiday season!
