Criteria for Leadership of The Year
Division Director of the Year
20 pts for each goal met in the Distinguished Division Program
40 pts for each net increase in paid clubs by June 30, 2018
Area Director of the Year
10 pts for each goal achieved in the Distinguished Area Program
40 pts for each net increase in paid clubs by June 30, 2018
10 pts for each 100% of Area Club Visit Reports submitted to WHQ by 10/31/2017
10 pts for each 100% of Club Visit Reports submitted to WHQ by 4/30/2018
4 pts for attendance at each District Council Business Meeting (two per year)
4 pts for attendance at each District Council Executive Meeting (six per year)
Toastmaster of the Year
This award recognizes a District 52 Toastmaster whose dedication and effort make a significant contribution toward achieving the District Mission. Although the candidate does not have to fulfill all of the below criteria, the selection will be based on the following guidelines in categories critical to District success:
Membership Building and Retention:
- Sponsor of new members
- Sponsor or Mentor for new club
- Participate in new club “demo” meetings
- Club Coach (for low-membership club)
Education and Training:
- Trained club officers
- Trained district officers
- Educational awards
Leadership
- Serving as a club officer
- Appointed as a District officer or member of District Committee
- Promoted Toastmasters via print or electronic media
- Chief Judge, Contest Chair or Judge at Area, Division or District
- Attended District-sponsored training as club officer
- Presenter at Conference or TLI training.
