DESCRIPTION:Beat the Clock\nProgram Dates: May 1 – June 30\nToastmasters are taught to run meetings on time\, finish speeches on time and reach membership goals on time. In that spirit\, Beat the Clock is a great motivator for finishing the year on schedule—on time and with record numbers!  Make it your club’s goal to earn the Beat the Clock award and encourage every member to take part. Clubs adding five new\, dual or reinstated members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 receive a Beat the Clock ribbon to display on the club’s banner. Qualifying clubs also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.) \nApplications and payments for members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than June 30. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count toward Beat the Clock credit. \nThe winning clubs will be revealed online within a few weeks of the submission deadline. Winning clubs should allow up to 10 business days to receive their award if they are located in the United States\, and up to 21 business days if they are outside of the United States.

DESCRIPTION:District 52 will be conducting this year’s District Council Spring Business Meeting\, held online via Zoom\, on Friday\, May 17\, 2024\, 7:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct District business and conduct our election. (See attached District Leadership Committee report). \nREGISTER HERE: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwvcu-srDIjHtF0FFu1uDwFk8FlrQmgjlg2 \n\nMeet your Candidates Here: https://elections.district52.org/ \nBusiness Meeting Page: https://www.district52.org/spring-2024-business-meeting/ \n\n\nOnly the Club President and Vice President Education may vote on behalf of a club. Another member of the club is not able to cast a vote since proxies have been removed. The Club President or Vice President may cast a vote for their role and the other for a maximum of two votes. Note: Regardless of how many clubs a member is the Club President or Vice President\, they may only cast a maximum of two votes. The District Administrative Bylaws\, Article X (d) below state: \n\n\nWhen the voting process is conducted only the Club President and/or Vice President Education of any Member Club may vote on behalf of the club as its representative. Either club officer may carry the club’s two (2) votes or\, each of these club officers may carry one (1) vote\, as determined by the club membership. The representative from any Member Club in good standing is entitled to a maximum of two (2) votes. \n\n\nDistrict Executive Committee members are entitled to one (1) vote and may cast up to two (2) additional votes as a representative of a Member Club\, for a maximum of three (3) votes. District Council members must cast their own votes; no proxies are permitted. \n\n\nYou must register for the District Council Meeting in advance by May 16th at 11:59pm. Your registration and attendance is important to constitute the required quorum for the successful transaction of business at this meeting. \n\n\n
